Product Care

Keep the pieces sharp for longer.

These care notes are built around Printful’s official guidance for printed apparel and embroidered headwear, adapted to the products currently in the TMPRD store. Follow them and your prints, embroidery, shape, and colour will hold up better over time.

Tees with printed graphics

For DTG or similar Printful-printed tees, lower heat is the main rule. That protects the print surface and helps reduce fading, cracking, and shrinkage.

  • Machine-wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with similar colours.
  • Use mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners.
  • Use non-chlorine bleach only if absolutely needed.
  • Hang-dry if possible, or tumble-dry on low.
  • Use a cool iron inside out only, and never iron directly over the print.
  • Do not dry-clean.
Printed Hoodies & Sweats TMPRD Core Hoodie in Maroon

Hoodies and sweatshirts with print

The same Printful printed-apparel rules apply here, but heavier pieces benefit even more from air-drying because it helps them keep their shape.

  • Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle.
  • Keep detergents mild and skip fabric softener.
  • Air-dry when you can. If using a dryer, keep it on low heat.
  • Do not wring while wet, and avoid repeated high-heat tumble cycles.
  • Iron inside out on a cool setting only if needed.
  • Never iron the decorated area directly.
Caps & Beanies FORGED Cap in Black

Embroidered headwear

Printful recommends hand-washing hats to protect the structure and embroidery. That is the safest route for TMPRD caps, and it is the right habit for beanies too.

  • Use lukewarm water with mild detergent and no bleach.
  • Spot-clean gently with a damp cloth where possible.
  • Avoid brushes and aggressive scrubbing on embroidery.
  • Do not machine-wash caps if you want to keep their shape.
  • Do not tumble-dry, dry-clean, or iron embroidered headwear.
  • Let items air-dry naturally and avoid stacking them while wet.

Quick care rules that matter most.

If you only remember a few things, make it these: wash cold, turn printed items inside out, keep drying temperatures low, and do not iron directly over prints or embroidery. Heat and friction are what shorten the life of decorated pieces.

Prints Inside out, cold wash, low heat. That is the baseline.
Embroidery Be gentler than you think. Shape and stitch quality depend on it.
